An SEN (Special Educational Needs) family has a child with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), ADHD, language delay, sensory-processing needs, or emotional / learning differences. We first understand the family's needs (use our SEN self-assessment tool to generate a Brief), then match on the helper's skill tags, language, district preference and availability — without ever asking legally prohibited questions such as pregnancy or health status. In 2026 the Minimum Allowable Wage (MAW) is HK$5,100/month. If meals are not provided, the statutory food allowance is HK$1,236/month. EC insurance is about HK$100–130/month. One-off fees include the visa fee (~HK$230) and POLO/MWO certification (~HK$476); an overseas new hire adds flight and miscellaneous costs. ImmD requires the employer household to have monthly income of at least HK$15,000, or sufficient assets to maintain the family and employ a helper. The employer must also provide free accommodation, plus free meals or the statutory food allowance, and must take out Employee's Compensation insurance for the helper. 入境處要求僱主家庭每月入息唔少於 HK$15,000，或擁有足以維持家庭同聘用傭工嘅資產；僱主必須提供免費住宿、免費膳食或法定膳食津貼，並買僱員補償保險。

Plan for about 90 days: submit POLO certification to the Philippines roughly 60 days before (~6 working days), together with the ImmD visa application (4–6 weeks approval), plus 1–2 weeks for flight and reporting. Under the Disability Discrimination Ordinance (Cap 487) and related laws, interviews may not ask about pregnancy, family planning, chronic illness, disability, marriage, religion, or age — private matters unrelated to job ability. Health status should be handled by the standard medical exam (ID 407E). You can view the anonymous helper board, which shows only skill tags, languages, preferred district and available month — never names, photos or ID numbers — to protect privacy and meet regulations.
