Understanding the Minimum Allowable Wage (MAW) for FDWs 外傭最低工資
The MAW is HK$5,100 per month (effective 30 Sep 2025). It is the legal floor — you may pay more, never less. 最低工資每月 HK$5,100（2025年9月30日起），係法定下限。
Your visa & contract timeline (ID 407 / POLO) 簽證同合約時程
Plan backwards: POLO about 60 days before start, Immigration 4–6 weeks. Use our calculator to pin the dates. 倒數計：POLO 約提前 60 日，入境處 4–6 週。
Your obligations as an employer 僱主責任
Free accommodation, food (or HK$1,236 allowance), employee compensation insurance (~HK$115/mo), and the visa fee. 免費住宿、膳食（或 HK$1,236）、僱員補償保險、簽證費。

Autism, ADHD, dyslexia and more — differences in how the brain processes the world. Care is about fit, not fix. 自閉、ADHD、讀寫障礙等；重點係配對，唔係「醫好」。
Interviewing an FDW — the red lines 面試紅線
You may not ask about pregnancy, illness, disability, marriage, religion or age. Health is handled by the standard ID 407E medical. 唔可以問懷孕、長期病、殘疾、婚姻、宗教、年齡；健康交 ID 407E。
Helping your child transition to a new helper 幫小朋友適應新姐姐
Visual schedules, a 2-week overlap where possible, and letting the helper learn your child's cues first. 圖像日程、盡量兩星期重疊、讓姐姐先認識小朋友嘅訊號。
Food allowance & insurance rules 膳食津貼同保險
If you don't provide free meals, pay HK$1,236/month. Employee compensation insurance is mandatory. 無免费膳食就要畀 HK$1,236/月；僱員補償保險必須有。
Renewal & end-of-contract steps 續約同完約
Renew at least 60 days before expiry. End-of-contract has its own notice and repatriation rules. 續約至少提前 60 日；完約有通知同遣返安排。
